About Us

Management

With mutual understanding and trust among students, teachers, and parents, the Anchorage Japanese School strives to create a bright and enjoyable environment. The school aims to educate students to be strong global citizens with a rich sense of humanity.

We seek to secure the required number of class days per year and minimum necessary classes in schools and Japan. We work to make our school a place to simulate the required education in Japan.

Following the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Courses of Study in Japan, classes are conducted according to the textbooks used in the Japanese education system. Elementary and junior high students study the Japanese Language and mathematics, while learning about Japanese school culture, all in Japanese.
Library
Currently, the library holds over 800 books, available to be lent out to teachers, students, and parents for up to two weeks.
We use a book management software to manage borrowing and collecting books. We purchase books based not only on textbook recommendations but on trends in each grade, improving the quality of the library.
